BAY AREA INFOPRENEUR CREATES WEBSITE FEATURING COMMERCIAL & RESIDENTIAL  SALES LEADS IN "REAL TIME"

Hayward, California August 30 2001.

Main Emphasis

Tom M. Wilson, a pioneer of the New Economy / Information Age recently launched  TMWCommerce.com, a  "niche market" website which provides primarily hot sales leads to sales & marketing professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area on a subscription basis concerning software, computer, manufacturing, biotechnology, and commercial companies, which are planning on building new facilities or expanding / improving their current sites.  Wilson also reports on home improvement projects.

History

Mr. Wilson graduated from California State University, Hayward during the late 1980's with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Psychology, with a minor degree in Business Administration and immediately entered the news & information industry by being recruited by USA Today, The Nation's Newspaper, Hayward, CA, where he learned how to market information through various distribution channels.

Two years later, Wilson gained more extensive marketing expertise by representing Sonitrol Security Systems, Hayward, CA.  He would contact real estate developers and companies that were planning on building/expanding/or relocating their facilities to persuade them to utilize Sonitrol's revolutionary "activation by sound" security technology. Over a period of time, Wilson noticed that he wasn't only discovering information concerning companies that needed a security system but also prospects that were in the market for commercial real estate, a new building, tenant improvements, telecommunications, office furniture, moving services, interior design/architecture, storage, janitorial, office equipment, carpeting, painting, and other facility services. Wilson then performed a "test market" study of his information and a number of firms subscribed immediately. Thus, TMW Diversified (TMW) was established.

In the beginning, TMW didn't have an office. Wilson's clients allowed him use of an office, telephone, and copier at no charge. By operating out of a different office each day of the week, overall operating costs were reduced significantly. Furthermore, all information was handwritten onto specific forms, copied, sorted into multiple packages, and mailed.

Fast forward to July 1996. TMW leased office space in Hayward and relocated his main office and R&D operations from a start-up commercial & industrial business incubator facility located in Hayward. Now, rather than mail information to clients, Wilson faxed the data from a conventional fax machine. Clients were able to obtain more information quicker than via the postal service.

Throughout the remainder of 1996, TMW's integrity for supplying accurate and timely information grew significantly. As a result, Wilson's revenue and clientele grew quickly, too.  Wilson plowed profits back into operations and new technology eagerly waiting to progress to the next level of information distribution.

By August 1997, TMW was computerized and information reports could now be distributed via fax modem, directly from the computer. With this technological improvement, greater amounts of data could be transmitted than by the fax machine. Clients loved it and TMW's clientele grew even more.

As the internet phenomenon exploded, TMW was well positioned to take advantage of this incredible medium to distribute, again, greater quantities of information,  faster than ever before. In February 1998, only 10% of TMW's clients had e-mail capability. Throughout the remainder of 1998, many clients became connected to the internet. TMW continued to fax information to about 50% of his clients and e-mailed information to the other half. By March 1999, 100% of TMW's clients had e-mail. It was now time to create a commerce based web site.  By the end of 1999, TMW Diversified changed its name to TMWCommerce.com and prepared to make its debut.

The first sales lead was entered in "real time" on TMWCommerce.com, January 29, 2001, allowing sales leads to be obtained instantaneously.
